Manners and chivalry should never go out of style but that doesn’t mean that we should follow all of old rules of dating. Here’s a list of outdating dating rules we should stop following:
- Leave all the planning up to your date – It’s okay to plan a date that you’d like to do, maybe a concert or a new dinner spot in town?
- Always letting the man open the door – It doesn’t mean they have bad manners if they exercise the right to not open your door. Note what other ways they’ve been respectful and keep it all in perspective.
- Constantly play hard to get – acting distant is not only a form of manipulation, but it’s heavily outdated. There’s no reason to not show interest in someone that you ARE interested in
- Don’t kiss on the first date – If you’re feeling it, feel it! Go with the flow that works best for you and your date!
- Never splitting the bill – It’s totally fine to take responsibility for your portion of the bill, it removes that “I owe you” feeling across the board.
Stay safe out there!
